Archway Health Appoints Industry Veteran Victoria Abrams to SVP of Contracting and Specialty Networks

Watertown, MA, March 8, 2017Archway Health, a full service tech-enabled bundled payment company, today announced the addition of Victoria Abrams as Senior Vice President of Contracting and Specialty Networks, effective immediately. As a leader with extensive experience in managed care markets and value-based contracting, Abrams will be responsible for building bundled payment specialty networks and negotiating agreements with health plans and employers.

“At Archway, we’ve seen specialists realize significant savings in CMS’s bundled payment models, and believe they are well-suited to own the bundle because of their complete understanding of a patient’s condition and needs,” said Dave Terry, Co-Founder and CEO of Archway Health. “The addition of Victoria to our team enables us to expand opportunities for specialists to participate in value-based contracts. Drawing from her vast experience, we will be able to better assist specialists in implementing bundled payment contracts and earning new sources of revenue.”

In her role, Abrams’s will be focusing on expanding Archway's network of bundled payment providers in major U.S. markets. Through negotiated contracts with insurers and employers, both specialists and payers benefit from savings through their bundled payment programs.

Abrams joins Archway with more than 30 years of leadership experience on both the payer and provider side in mature managed care markets. Prior to joining Archway, she served both as direct management and then as a consultant to physician and hospital organizations, helping to successfully negotiate and manage financial risk arrangements. Among her many achievements, she negotiated innovative value-based contracts with health plans for multiple providers and supported contract implementation leading to more than $60 million in annual performance incentives. She also increased market share for four health plan companies by strategically expanding provider networks in selected geographic areas, resulting in additional 300,000 members and improved account sales.

“Throughout my career, I worked to establish alternative payment models and advance the transition from fee-for-service to value-based care,” said Abrams. “As we continue in this transformation, bundled payments have proven to be successful for not only specialists, but also beneficial for health plans and employers. I’m thrilled to join the Archway team to enable more providers to improve care and reduce costs.”
