General Manager of Orthopedic Value Based Care Programs

Archway Health is seeking to augment its account manager teams.

Archway Health’s mission is to fix healthcare through payment reform.  Archway is a national leader in developing and implementing value-based care programs in partnership with providers, employers and payers across the country.  We do this through a mix of great people who are passionate about improving healthcare, sophisticated data analytics tools that drive our unique insights, and easy to use software designed to help patients get better as quickly and safely as possible.   We work with specialty providers in all types of clinical areas – oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, pulmonology, obstetrics, hospital care, and post-acute care – all of whom are experiencing real success with improving outcomes and the patient experience while also dramatically reducing healthcare costs.

  • Build, manage and grow the Archway bundled payment business in Orthopedics by expanding on what has been established so far.

  • Lead the process to enroll our Orthopedic practice partners into the Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) Advanced program.

  • Lead the process for helping Orthopedics practices to improve their care management processes, overall performance, and succeed within bundled payment contracts.

  • Expand our presence and relationships within our existing customers.

  • Develop our ongoing orthopedics and bundled payment products and services in partnership with the Archway team, our part time orthopedic Medical Director and other key Ortho relationships.

  • Build an Account Management Team.

  • Build out and expand the Archway Orthopedics business model.

  • Expand our base of BPCI-A and commercial Orthopedics bundle customers.

  • Help develop commercial bundled payment contracts and programs in partnership with existing and future Orthopedics customers.

  • Participate in the payor negotiation and contracting process.

  • Develop and enhance channel partnerships with Orthopedics groups and other key leaders and influencers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in Orthopedics and working with Orthopedics organizations.

  • Relationships and an excellent reputation with Orthopedics organizations across the country.

  • A passion for improving healthcare and orthopedic care through payment reform and bundled payment programs.  

  • Experience in risk management programs and contracts preferred.

  • Clinical experience or a high comfort level working with clinicians to improve care management and clinical process.

  • Consummate communication skills – verbal, written, presentational.

  • Proven analytical, critical thinking and consultative skills.

  • Business experience and an understanding of business model development, relationship development, sales, etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree.  MA preferred.

Physical Requirements

Position requires the ability to travel up to 25% of the time as well as work under normal office conditions where the individual will walk, stand, stoop, sit, manipulate / adjust items, and keyboard on a regular basis. Must be able to analyze / synthesize data and communicate issues, findings, processes, solutions and ideas in a clear, concise, technically-proficient and consultative manner.
