Vice President of Sales, Value Based Risk Protection

We are seeking a candidate who has a strong working knowledge of the healthcare provider insurance market. The position requires a seasoned individual with experience selling insurance products through the broker market. The VP of Sales, Value Based Risk Protection is responsible for developing Archway’s strategy and revenue objectives in this new and exciting line of business.


Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • You will be lead the development of the company’s Provider Stop-loss sales strategy via the broker channel

  • Establish and implement process, criteria, and controls for engaging and driving revenue through brokers.

  • You are responsible for revenue objectives for Archway’s Value Based Risk Protection product to the provider market

  • Develop internal relationships with underwriters and other internal support partners who will assist you in meeting our client’s needs.

  • Build and establish relationships with key sources to market our portfolio of products to some of the nation’s leading Broker’s and employers.

  • Attend local and national networking functions within the industry to objectively yield broker and prospect relationships.

  • Serve as primary contact for general broker questions, service issues, and client feedback to facilitate the proper resolutions and account support / management.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or work equivalent

  • Current General Lines -Life, Accident, and Health Insurance license

  • A passion for improving healthcare through payment reform

  • Previous (5+) years of experience insurance products into the healthcare space, including stop loss products, with a demonstrated record of success.

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills are crucial

  • Proficient in Google & MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Motivated and driven by achievement and financial rewards.

  • The ability to understand and balance sales objectives and strategy with the needs of brokers and prospective clients.

  • Essential written communication skills required include business communications across multiple mediums.

  • Oral communication skills must be assertive but not aggressive and must include the ability to present relevant information quickly and chronologically to facilitate knowledge transfer and decision making.

Physical Requirements

Position requires significant travel as well as work under normal office conditions where the individual will walk, stand, stoop, sit, manipulate / adjust items, and keyboard on a regular basis. Must be able to analyze / synthesize data and communicate issues, findings, processes, solutions and ideas in a clear, concise, technically-proficient and consultative manner.
